UNSOLICITED ADVICE: TO ALL GRADUATES

I just want to share some insights that I have learned in my journey and I know these things are still not enough since I am still young (uhm, is 26 young?) and learning.

1.    Love what you do. If you do, it will love you back. Everything will fall into its right place when you love what you are doing. You will attract the right people and eventually you will meet the right people with the same visions as you have.

2.    Be a wanderer. By studying people, I found out that we are by nature, a wanderer. You are not lost. You wander because it is in us. We love to seek new places, new niches that will nurture us to advance ourselves. Do not settle for less. By wandering you will also create connections. By creating networks, you will learn more. Accept their ideas and learn to anchor yourselves with the works of others to better yourself.

3.    Be brave and take some risks. You know it when you are there. Jump if you must! It is one of the most wonderful feeling that you will ever experience. Being brave does not mean that you always find yourself in a fight, no. Sometimes being brave is not being influenced by the negativity of others and above all, being brave means knowing when to bend your knees.

4.    Be who you are. Do not please everyone because if people accepted you and loved you, they will always stay and find their way to seek goodness despite your imperfections. When they hate you, no matter how hard you try to please them, they won’t see it. Please, just be who you are because you are the only person who knows what’s best for you. So, don’t apologize for just being who you are.

5.    Always challenge the ideas. While the majority are doing what they already know, it does not mean it is always correct. Be an active observer. Challenge the system by asking questions. Fight for what you believe is right but not to the point of stepping on another person.

Be remarkable, guys! Enjoy your voyage!

My minion says good luck!
