JUST-WORLD HYPOTHESIS

Remember the "just-world hypothesis"? It is the idea that the world is just. When you do good, you'll be rewarded but when you do bad, you'll be punished. Simple, isn't?

What if I told you this simple idea has a negative effect such as victim blaming?

Ah, "na-ano kasi" dahil nakasuot ng maiksing short. Na-rape kasi nakaka-provoke saka umiinom at umuuwi ng gabi. Mahirap sila kasi ang tatamad nila (really, lahat? Eh yung iba kahit anong kayod di naman nabibigyan ng chance tapos sasabihin salot). See?

Deserve ba nila? Of course not. The world is unfair. We know it. It's not simple. People, regardless of sex, gender, race, religion, and cultural background, don't deserve to be blamed by things that they can't even control because of other monstrous animals and unfair justice system.

This post is dedicated to the rest of the people who never felt they were good, beautiful, strong, and lucky enough.

You are not alone. Keep the hope.
