"Ang Pantasya ni Eba"

Ito ay isang artikulo na isinulat ni CodeName: BLUEMAN21 sa kanyang blog. Marami kang matutunan dito, babaguhin niya ang iyong pananaw sa kasarian at sa mga karaniwang bagay na hindi mo maaaring naisip. Ipapakita rito ang kakaibang sitwasyon at perspektibo. Basahin:

Masaya at maayos ang buhay sa bayan ng Kagawasan. Ang babae ay kilos babae, at ang lalaki, kilos lalaki; nasa tamang lugar ang lahat. Bagamat pantay-pantay ang pagtingin nila sa kababaihan at kalalakihan, hindi sila naniniwala sa mga makabagong pananaw na pareho dapat ang kilos, ugali at papel ng babae at lalaki sa lipunan.

Babae ang Pangulo ng Kagawasan. Babae rin ang mga opisyal na nasa mahahalagang posisyon ng gabinete, tulad ng Kagawaran ng Patakarang Pangkabuhayan, Industriya at Kalakal. Babae ang mga sundalo, ang mga negosyante, ang mga pari ng simbahan. Babae ang mga manggagawa, magsasaka, mangingisda, at propesyonal.

Nararapat lamang ito, dahil iyan ang papel na itinakda ng Diyos Ina para sa mga babae. Kaya nga’t biniyayaan ng Diyos Ina ang Kababaihan ng Kagawasan ng mga katangiang angkop sa kanilang mahalagang pananagutan sa lipunan: ang matalas na isip at kakayahang magpasiya, ang lakas at katatagan ng kalooban, ang lakas ng katawan.

Ang mga lalaki naman ang maybahay. Sila ang nag-aalaga ng mga anak: total, may likas silang katangiang mapagmahal at mapag-aruga. Sila rin ang biniyayaan ng mga kamay na mas may resistensya sa init, kung kaya’t mahuhusay silang magluto. Kasiyahan nila ang pagsilbihan ang kanilang mga asawa at mga anak. Bagamat hindi sila kumikita sa ganitong klaseng gawain, sinusuportahan naman sila ng kanilang asawa bilang kapalit sa kanilang serbisyo. Kinikilala rin naman ng lipunan ang kanilang mahalagang kontribusyon: sila ang tinaguriang “ilaw ng tahanan” at taun-taon binibigyan sila ng bulaklak tuwing Araw ng mga Ama.

Ang ganitong pagkakahati ng trabaho sa lipunan, at ang pagkakaiba ng likas na pag-uugali ng babae at lalaki, ay alinsunod sa pagkakaiba ng kanilang mga katawan. Tanda ng lakas at katatagan ng kababaihan ang kanilang kakayahang magdala ng bata sa kanilang sinapupunan, at tiisin ang sakit at hirap ng pagluluwal nito. Ang kanilang papel bilang mga manggagawa sa lipunan ay nakabatay rin dito, at sa kanilang kakayahang magpasuso sa mga bata: hindi ba’t panganganak at ang pagkakaroon ng gatas para sa anak, ay isang uri ng produksyon?

Pati ang anyo ng aring pangreproduksyon ay naaayon sa kanilang papel bilang manggagawa, mangangasiwa, at tagapagpasiya sa lipunan. Ang ari ng babae at nakatago, kung kaya’t hindi madaling masaling; malaya silang nakagagalaw. Papaloob ang direksyon nito, sagisag ng kanyang kakayahang pagmuni-munihan ang mga bagay-bagay at magbigay ng mahusay na kapasiyahan. Sa pagtatalik, ang ari niya ang sumasakop sa ari ng lalaki, sagisag din ng kanyang pananagutang sakupin ang mundo. Gayon din ang posisyon sa pagtatalik na nakapagbibigay sa kanya ng higit na kasiyahan: siya ang nangingibabaw sa lalaki tulad ng pangingibabaw niya sa kalikasan.

Samantala, dahil walang kakayahan ang lalaking magdalantao at magpasuso, at dahil ang babae na ang nagsusugal ng buhay sa panganganak, makatarungan lamang na sa kalalakihan na ipaubaya ang pag-aalaga at pagpapalaki sa mga anak. Bukod pa rito, nalilimitahan ang kanilang mga galaw ng kanilang ari: di tulad ng sa babae, nakalawit ito at madaling mabasag.

Kita rin naman sa kanilang ari ang kakulangan nila sa kakayahan sa mahalagang pagpapasiya: dahil nakalabas ito, may kababawan silang mag-isip at hindi ganoong magaling magtago ng mga sekreto. Kung kaya’t nababagay silang magpasiya tungkol sa mga bagay na hindi na dapat pagkaabalahan pa ng mga babae, tulad ng kulay ng kurtina. Gayon din, ang posisyon nila sa pagtatalik ang nagpapakita kung ano ang papel nila sa lipunan: sila ang nakatihaya, naghihintay habang tinatrabaho ng asawa. Dahil sa akto ng pagtatalik napapaloob ang kanilang ari sa ari ng babae, laging sinasabi sa kanila kapag sila’y ikinasal: “Magpasakop kayo sa inyong mga asawa…”

Sa kagawasan, isang masayang pangyayari ang pagkakaroon ng anak na babae: “Hayan,” wika ng mga ina, “may magdadala na ng pangalan ko.” At nangangarap na sila sa pagiging Pangulo balang araw ng kanilang anak. Masaya rin sana ang pagkakaroon ng anak na lalaki, dahil magkakaroon ng isa pang katulong sa gawaing-bahay ang mga ama; ngunit kung bakit napapaluha ang mga ama kapag nakitang lalaki ang kanilang mga supling at nabibigkas ang: “Heto na ang isa pang pambayad sa kasalanan!”

BACK TO WORK

On my first day of work this year, I came back with some unfinished business like administration of preliminary examination to my students of Psychology course, checking their home works and projects, providing some assistance, grading their works, and recording it. To be honest, my mind is not still in condition for work. (I still have hangover of my vacation) And for the first day of the year, I have received a message reminding me for my review lecture for board examinations on another school in Manila (Woah. I have to condition my mind now, it is a serious work for board examinations).

I still need to slap my face to wake up by now. Coffee is not enough to wake me up. I need motivation! I still need to finish my thesis and to train my students for the upcoming contest for the national quiz bee. Wahahaha. Oh, I forgot, I have to go to the mountains also to meet the leader of the tribe for the research work of my students and other work-related things to do.

Phew! This is the moment when I really wanted to regress being a child. HAHAHA. I admit, there are moments in my life that I want to take a lot of breaks and to be like a child HAHAHA. Sometimes, things are not syncing into my mind that I am an adult doing adult things which I have to face because I am a grownup. HUHUHU. I miss being a kid and I regret the moments that I am not sleeping well during my childhood. I remember the time when I have to pretend that I am sound asleep just to avoid being spanked by my lola (Filipino word meaning grandmother) and moments that I sneaked out our house just to play outside.

Well, I think I need to remind myself about facing big duties. I have to face it squarely and to avoid piling up of workloads. Pile of works equates to distress, distress which leads to old age, and I am not ready to face old age.

Things will be more challenging this year, I know. I already did some of my works last year to avoid piling up of my works. I think, I am ready to face it all (I have to even if I felt that I wanted to regress hahaha).

START THE YEAR WITH A BLAST!

We left our home at exactly 3: 35 AM (we were so excited! That’s why!), our call time for 5k run was 6:20 AM. When we arrived in SM Mall of Asia Grounds at 5: 40 AM, a lot of people were already there preparing and having their short warm ups. All of us were excited and were motivated to run! It was not actually a race where there is only one winner. The awesome thing about this event is it encourages social activity, to enjoy the moment and not to compete with others. 

I joined this race to accomplish something cool this year and to start off my year right! And of course, its unique theme captivated me to join this, the Carnival Tour! *Isn't it cool to start your year wild, colorful, and unique?*

During the race, various colors were exploded to us on each station. The happiest colors that threw at us were yellow, blue, green, purple, orange. Honestly, the colors helped me a lot to not notice that I am already finished with my race. I didn't even feel tired during the event, I even got the chance to dance with my friends. lol. I just only felt that I am tired when I got home today.

I will never forget this colorful and wild moment of running with colors! The shouts and celebration of the crowd were really crazy, indeed, you will get the so called “happy-spirit fever” and it was so contagious! We released all the colors from our packets all together on mark and then we were all crazy during the rave party (blending in the crowd) with tainted colors on our faces and bodies! The party unleashed our hidden moves and it was all fun! (perhaps, it was due to mesmerizing sounds and crowd) :D

PARA SA MGA MAHILIG HUMUGOT SA TINDAHAN

Siyempre, hindi lang naman mga tindera ang nagsasawa sa mga bumibili ng hugot. Haha. Nakakatuwa ang mga hugot, promise! Isa rin ako sa mahilig bumanat noong 2015! Gusto ko pa ng  hugot pero sa ibang paraan naman! Nauumay na ako sa pabili nga po. Bwahahaha. Excited na ako sa taon ngayon para sa mga nakakatuwa pang hugot. Ang maghuhugot sa tindera, nako wag kayong ano.  Itutulad ko kayo kay Clara!

MY LOVE FOR PIZZA AND SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT IT

I know. This one is something that I can't maintain, I cannot update my blog post everyday. Hahaha.
Still, I would like to have the title of this post as it is.

So I just had a little time with my siblings tonight and looked for some pizza! I already ate all of it and I felt like it was not enough for me. Hahaha. I guess, my stomach was stretched this holiday and it can accommodate a lot of food. Anyway, I would like to share some interesting facts about pizza since I opened this topic. Below are some facts about pizzas:

1. October is designated as National Pizza Month in USA.
2. Pizza was not originally came from US or Italy. It was introduced by Greeks! (But some argued that it was Egyptians)
3. The first commercialized pizza originated from Italy.
4. Frozen pizza was invented by Celentano Brothers in 1957.
5. Eating pizza once a week can reduce the risk of esophageal cancer. *Now you have another reason to eat pizza in a week. Hahaha.*

So yes, let's eat pizza to avoid esophageal cancer but we are more likely to gained some weight and fats. Hahaha. Anyway, let's just eat moderately.
